Philosophy of Discipline

Our school’s approach to discipline centers on Restorative Practices through Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) and the 7 Key Competencies of Leadership including Pride, Respect, Self-Control, Self-Awareness, Abundant Thinking, Civic Engagement, and Responsibility.

Through these keys, we are committed to facilitating our students’ social-emotional growth as we believe building strong relationships, engaging in responsible decision-making, exercising integrity, and teaching self-management are essential in maintaining our positive school culture and learning environment. We progressively disseminate discipline to allow students to actively learn from and participate in their own behavioral development. We strive to teach, model, reinforce, and reward positive behavior to promote a climate that focuses consistently and continually on leadership, scholarship, and learning.
