EMIR Healing Center (Every Murder is Real) is a nonprofit organization that services and supports family members and friends who have been affected by homicide

Girls on the Run envisions a world where all girls can know and activate their limitless potential and be free to boldly pursue their dreams. The program inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates movement.

It all began over 100 years ago with one woman, Girl Scouts’ founder Juliette “Daisy” Gordon Low, who believed in the power of every girl. She organized the first Girl Scout troop on March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Georgia, and every year since, we’ve made her vision a reality, helping girls discover their strengths, passions, and talents.

The Gurian Institute provides advanced onsite and online training for educators and other professionals, as well as parents and community stakeholders. Their  work is a powerful deep dive into the minds of boys and girls that has been proven successful in helping schools and communities throughout the world.

Within the changing landscape of education are opportunities for leaders to work within budget constraints to creatively meet the needs of students, educators, and families. Kids deserve great schools and organizations that provide continuity of learning regardless of the physical environment or limited resources. Schools and youth-serving organizations deserve high-quality supports and resources, educators crave genuine professional learning experiences, and students need engaging and authentic instruction. Families need the supports, ideas, and resources to help their children with their education, especially during remote learning.

The Kimmel Center Inc. believes that the arts build strong communities and are essential to enhance the human experience. A part of their mission is to educate the region’s young people through access to quality arts experiences and multi-year opportunities to see, make, and understand the performing arts both on-campus and in communities.

At the Deaver Health Education Center at Lankenau, thousands of schoolchildren visit every year, gaining an understanding of how the foods they eat have a direct impact on different parts of their bodies and their overall health. Kids visit the nearby Deaver Wellness Farm on the Lankenau campus where thousands of tons of fresh organic produce have nourished hospital patients and local residents alike. Aside from tasting delicious, locally grown produce, the children learn to make the connection between where and how food is grown and how it gets to them.

All Mighty Writers programs are designed to teach children to think clearly and write with clarity. Mighty Writers has designed a workshop for our 8th Grade students entitles “ Jumpstart The High School Essay”. They work with each class of 8th graders once a week during the month of October to support the High School Application process.

The Temple University School of Education has partnered with Southwest Leadership Academy Charter School to ensure that we serve our community with teachers trained at the highest level.
