BREAKFAST & LUNCH PROGRAM

Lintons Food Service Management serves as Southwest Leadership’s official food service provider. In order to ensure the highest level of service, Lintons has revamped their website. Through collaboration with food service directors, government agencies, school nutrition specialists, and industry professionals, they have provided a comprehensive website. The website is focused on nutrition and fitness, and includes nutrition calculators and tools as well as videos for use by school staff and parents. This also allows for the management of menu postings with nutritional facts.

NUTRITION

Southwest Leadership Academy Charter School serves healthy meals every school day. Because SLA participates in the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs, all meals served must meet nutritional standards established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. However, if your child(ren) has/have been determined by a physician to be disabled and the disability would prevent the child(ren) from eating the regular school meal, Lintons Food Services will make any substitution prescribed by the physician. If a substitution is required, there will be no extra charge for the meal. Please note that a substitution is not required for a food allergy unless it meets the definition of a disability. If you believe your child(ren) require(s) a substitution because of a disability, please contact Ms. Taylor at 215.729.1939 ext. 7100.

National School Lunch Program

The National School Lunch Program is a federally assisted meal program operating in public and nonprofit private schools and residential child care institutions. It provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to children each school day.
